Michael Demosthenous has been involved in the Tourism industry since 1968. Having studied Hotel Management in Glasgow, Scotland, he went on to serve as hotel manager in several major hotels in Cyprus from  1973 until 1994 when he proceeded to found and manage his own travel business.  Over the next few years, guided by his natural desire to educate and uplift people, he decided to transmit his vast knowledge and valuable experiences to others as a trainer and consultant.  Since then he has become an authorized Trainer of the HRDA, an External Examiner and Verifier of the HRDA for the certification of professional qualifications, as well as give special lectures for the CEFR and the Police Academy.  All of this conducted in an effort to develop a culture of professional service and consistent standardisation of qualifications of the workforce of his country, thus maintaining a high quality of service and visitor care in the region.  The intensive training programs and lectures are designed for employees such as:  airport staff, flight attendants, taxi drivers, bus drivers, tour agents, tour guides, tour operators, car rental clerks, traffic wardens, police officers, hotel staff, restaurant staff, shopkeepers, beach attendants, museum staff, religious monument staff, church caretakers, town hall & municipality staff,  and hotel school students.

Michael Demosthenous writes articles and gives interviews to the press on issues pertaining to tourism awareness, traditional hospitality, quality of service, and much more.
